Ingredients
  

  • 1 (15.25-oz.) box gluten-free chocolate cake mix
  • 3 mashed ripe bananas
  • 1 tsp grated orange zest
  • 1 1/4 cups extra-creamy oat milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil, or melted butter
  • Powdered sugar, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 10-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment.
  • To a large bowl, add the cake mix. Whisk to eliminate any lumps.
  • In another medium bowl, mash the bananas. Add the zest, oat milk, and oil. Whisk to combine.
  • Fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until no dry spots remain. Do not overmix.
  • Add the batter to the greased and lined pan. Tap lightly on the counter to eliminate any bubbles.
  • Bake for 60-65 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean with a few crumbs.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 30 minutes. Run a paring knife around the outside of the cake, and remove the sides of the springform pan.
  • Dust the top with powdered sugar before serving.
