Servings 8 spring rolls

Ingredients

  • 8 sheets rice paper
  • 1 large honey crisp apple, diced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • oil spray, for frying
  • Prepared caramel sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  • Set a shallow bowl of water aside your sheets of rice paper to prepare them for rolling.
  • In a large bowl, add your cut apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter. Toss to combine.
  • Dip a sheet of rice paper briefly into the water. Do not wait for it to get soft, as it will soften as you fill them.
  • Place the damp rice paper on a clean cutting board. Fill with 2 heaping tablespoons of apples and some of the sugary juices.
  • Roll the spring roll like a burrito, tucking in the sides before rolling into a cigar shape. Set aside and continue with the rest of the spring rolls.
  • Once your rolls are complete, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the rolls in a preheated air fryer and spray with the oil spray. Cook for 15-18 minutes or until crispy and browned, flipping halfway through.
  • Serve warm with prepared caramel sauce, for dipping.
