Double Chocolate Crispy Treats

Get into these quick and easy Double Chocolate Crispy Treats, which are sticky, sweet, and irresistible!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 package marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp Dutch-processed cocoa powder
  • 4 cups gluten-free chocolate crisp cereal
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  • Once melted, add the marshmallows and stir until they begin to melt. Also, add the cocoa powder at this stage.
  • Stir and mix well so that the marshmallows melt and mix with the butter and cocoa.
  • Once everything is melted and homogenous, add the cereal and mix until everything is evenly coated.
  • Off the heat, stir in the vanilla.
  • Dump the cereal mixture out onto a parchment-lined baking dish. Press firmly to make an even layer in thickness.
  • Place the in the fridge for 1-2 hours to firm. When ready, cut into squares or use a greased cookie cutter to cut out desired shapes. To store, place in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
