Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup gluten-free Oreos, blitzed into crumbs
  • 1 bag gluten-free gummy worms, spiders, or other animal shapes, for topping

Instructions

  • Begin by adding the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt in a saucepan.
  • Turn the heat to medium high and immediately add the milk, whisking fully to combine. Bring to a boil then reduce the heat to medium.
  • Boil for 3-4 minutes until thickened, stirring continuously.
  • Once thick, remove from the heat. Add the butter and vanilla and stir to combine.
  • Allow to cool slightly, then transfer the pudding to a glass bowl. Place plastic wrap directly over the surface of the pudding to keep a skin from forming. Place into the fridge to cool completely.
  • Once fully cooled, spoon the pudding into glass or clear plastic dishes. Top with Oreo crumbs and a few gummy worms.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Alternatively, you can make this an Easter treat by adding a few colorful chocolate eggs and some marshmallow bunnies on top.
